Oscar Dresses

do celebrities pay for the dresses when stylist gets it for them? or does the stylist pay? ?

i am watching the rachel zoe project and so many questions in my mind. like if rachel gets a dress for a celebrity to wear, and the celebrity is already paying rachel to be her stylist than who pays for the dress? or is it "courtesy" as the dress gets advertised and gets sold immediately?

1. the dresses are loaned to her, after the client wears the gown, they return it to rachel, she has it dry cleaned and then it is returned to the designer, very rarely will they buy a dress, as far as compensation for the designers "renting" out their dress, it's usually something they do for free because it's advertising for them
