POSSIBLY MY LAST GRADUATION BALL!!!, and I do not know what to wear!!!?

i'm a university student, in my junior year, BS in Nursing at the best medical school in Asia, University of Sto Tomas. i have cinnamon-y skin. you know, the sun baked southeast asian skin. im 5'1" with an hourglass shape (34.5 26 34.5) and long dark hair which i do not know if id classify as straight or wavy. can you suggest any design and color and cut of a floor length gown or any gown for that matter that evokes red carpet-slash-masquerade party (something that will complement a mask, yes!) and at the same time make me look leaner and taller? plus accessories and shoes and possibly hairstyle that might go with it? i know i sound hilarious but i know some design out there, which you might be capable of thinking of, could possibly fit what im looking for. i belong to an institution where people can afford to look superb and of course i dont want to fall short of the standard. =) i know, i still have more than a year to prepare (and make sure that i graduate) but i dont want to spend the last few months of my senior year worrying about what i should wear at the ball.i want to spend it in finishing all my academic requirements only. i have a picture (face only) that might help you on helping me find what suits me and formulate my total get up. http://www.facebook.com/iris.agcaoili ANY SUGGESTIONS? 1. If you want to look taller and skinnier I recommend a full length dress, it just brings something to compare with and the length of material make you seem taller. For you I'd recommend the color red, and you can pretty much get any style that you like. I'd recommend looking online and finding a type of dress you find attractive and going to some stores and trying it on.
2. Okay to start, with your color of skin i'd say go with a dark turquoise silky gown. Either spaghetti strap, one shoulder or strapless with a matching shawl. (Stay away from the shawls if your going with one shoulder. A sash around the hips (worn in the style of a belt) helps to make you look taller and leaner. Maybe even have the sash trail down the side of the dress nearly to the floor as it'll elongate your body. Make sure its a complimentary colour to the colour you choose. Try to go for a V neck if you want a spaghetti strap gown. Go for matching black heels and a nice black clutch. With turquoise try for silver jewelry. Try and have silver accents on your clutch and heels to tie it all in. Hope that helps... A mask with shades of blue and silver would look amazing btw. :)
