What do actors do at a movie premier?

I know it might be a silly question, but i always wanted to know. Yes i have herd that they watch the movie or whatever, but is that true? Do the actors really go watch up to 2 hour movies in gowns and suits?!? Also i have read things about actors like Nicole Kidman and Johnny Depp do not like to watch their movies, but they go to the premiers...so do they leave after the red carpet or what?....

2. Of course, they have the money lol so why not I wouldn't like to watch my own movies either. I made a student film and it was finished last month and I have yet to see it. I dunno, I guess the idea of watching myself is really weird and makes me self conscious.
3. i would be very uncomfortable watching my own movie. i have always wondered what actors do at a premier. it seems pretty boring just watching a movie, signing autographs, going home. plus, there was an interview with johnny depp during one of his premiers and the reporter said "have fun tonight" there has to be more to it than just watching a movie.
