Help! What should I wear to the oscars tomorrow night?

I have a cute knee length dress which is darling, but I'm not sure if that's what guests can wear. I don't want to be too pretentious by wearing a floor length gown when I'm not going to be anywhere near the front, but I don't want to look underdressed.

6. first of all how are you a guest who do you know???? and yea knee length as long as it isnt low cut or spaghetti straps it can be strapless or watever but as long as its not too low cut with some long earings and necklace have fun lucky ducky!!!!!!!!
