How much do you think this wedding may cost?
Well my couzins are both surgeons (man and women lol) and they make a lot of money yearly. They just called my parents and invited them to their wedding and told them all the details. How much do you think this will cost?? They are taking a first class flight out to hawaii to get married on the beach. They are paying for her mom and dads flight out and his mom and dads first class flight out to hawaii. Then spending a day there and having a party blah blah. She is wearing a oscar de la renta gown and jewlery. The second celebration: Then they are having her mom and dad and his mom and dad get picked up in a limo to be driven to the st.patricks cathedral. The whole family is going to this one. Then they bought three suites at the ritz carlton: One for her parents, his parents and them. She has a different gown too . They are having huge cakes and etc. She is giving her mom a tiffany and co necklace for a gift (favor).etc Isnt it a little overboared? i'm 13....not jealous..i'd love to have that Iv'e always wanted to be a surgeon lol she used to read my books when i was little about the medical field lol

- at LEAST $100,000! First class is expensive as hell especially if they are going to Hawaii, an Oscar de la Renta gown is probably $20,000. Plus the jerwelery I dont know I would need a name brand for that one. NOPE I dont think its over board. Maybe they should be on Platinum Weddings! Do you ever see that show on Sundays nights on the WE channel?? I think if people have the money to spend on lavish weddings then do it! Go all out! Make it a big extravaganza!!!
- you sound jealous, This is there wedding and if this is what they want to make a memoriable day more memoriable then let them they didnt ask you for your money they are spending there own so why cant they do it this way.
- You do sound a little jealous-but I think I might be also! Think about it-if you had all the money in the world, wouldn't you do anything you wanted? Think about it like this-at least they are including their parents! Its a bit much for my taste but if thats what they want to do, all the better for them! And I do think that this will cost quite a bit of moeny! At least $100, 000 maybe...
- Hey, if they've got the money to spend, why not? Don't view this wedding as a benchmark for other weddings you will attend in your lifetime (including your own). You can have a beautiful, meaningful wedding without all of this extravagance. True, they are likely spending $100K on this wedding, but you can have a gorgeous one for a fraction of the cost (as most of us non-surgeons do!)
- Good lord....why spend so much freaking money on one day. why? weddings are such a huge market, and they cost a lot, but these people have the money to do it lavishly. people like that make me sick.
- I would say AT LEAST 100,000.....But do keep in mind, not all weddings are like this. When I got married, we had a lavish wedding and it barely cost us 3,000 dollars, but, you know it depends on the couple, and if this is what they want, then more power to them. When you get married it is truly about the love that you and your mate have for one another, not who has the most lavish gown or the biggest cake, etc. If you are going, enjoy it!
- Like 100,000 plus!!! Christ, just giving Tiffany's to 200 guest would be like $3,000 for the cheap ones! Perhaps you may want to be a surgeon when your a grown up now? LOL
- 75,000 I would say. Considering that some surgeons make in upwards of 500,000 per year it seems like they deserve it!
